GENERAL COMPANY POLICIES

• No outside beverages are permitted on board.
• No pets or animals are permitted on board (unless it is a certified ADA service animal).
• Minors are not permitted to ride the ship without adult supervision.
• Scallywags reserves the right to refuse service to anyone that appears to be visibly intoxicated. 
• Scallywags Pirate Adventures reserves to right to refuse service to any person at their professional discretion.

Booking:

Full payment is required at the time of ticket purchase in order to hold your reservation.

A ticket must be purchased for every passenger, regardless of age, including infants.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Individual Tickets: Reservations on regularly scheduled cruises may be canceled, altered or rescheduled with a 48 hours advanced notice of cruise date. No refunds will be given, or reservations rescheduled for requests made less than 48 hours advance notice of cruise date.
• Private Charter: Group reservations may be canceled, altered or rescheduled up to 7 days prior to cruise date. No refunds will be given, or reservations rescheduled for group cancellations made with less than 7 days advance notice.
• Scallywags Pirate Adventures Cancels: Should we need to cancel your cruise for any reason, you will be contacted in advance (when possible) and be offered a chance to reschedule your reservation or be issued a refund. If a cruise is interrupted by unsafe operating conditions and the ship has to return to dock early, refunds will be issued depending on the length of your voyage.

WEATHER POLICY:

We operate rain or shine. Please plan to dress according to the weather. However, in case of unsafe operating conditions (ie. lightening, high winds, high waves, etc.) it is at the Captain’s discretion to cancel the cruise. If canceled, passengers will be notified by phone (when possible) prior to the cruise and be offered a chance to reschedule their reservation or be issued a refund.

If a cruise is interrupted by unsafe weather conditions and the ship has to return to dock early, refunds will be issued depending on the length of your voyage.

SHIP AND SAFETY INFORMATION:

The Scallywags is a custom designed wooden vessel that was built in Maryland in 2013 and took 6 months to complete. After it’s construction it was sailed on the Atlantic Ocean, through the St. Lawerence Seaway, to the Great Lakes, to its home port of Erie where it has operated ever since.

The ship is 54′ in length at the water line, 62′ overall, with a 20′ beam and 4′ draft and is powered by Twin Volvo Diesels, each 230 HP.

The vessel was built to U.S. Coast Guard requirements and is certified to carry 75 passengers. It is equipped with the latest lifesaving and navigational equipment. Our Captains and Deckhands are all U.S. Coast Guard licensed and Maritime Consortium certified.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY:

By law, the Coast Guard authorizes us to carry a maximum of 75 passengers. This number includes all persons regardless of age or size. All passengers, including infants, must have a ticket purchased for them.

GIFT CARDS:

Gift Cards can be purchased for any number of tickets for any given season. To purchase a Gift Card, click the Gift Card link at the top of the screen. Gift Cards are non-refundable and have no cash value. Gift Cards expiration dates cannot be extended.

MERCHANDISE:

Scallywags Pirate Adventures and pirate themed merchandise are available for sale in our Ticket Booth/Gift Shop. All sales are final.

GRATUITY:

Gratuities is not included in the ticket price nor mandatory, but are accepted and greatly appreciated.

ENTERTAINMENT SERVICE POLICY:

We are an entertainment business and by reserving a spot on our adventure you give us the unrestricted right and permission to photograph and/or video record you and any minor children in your custody or care, and thereafter to copyright and use, re-use, publish, and republish video, photographic portraits, pictures, recreations of any likeness in any media in which you may be included intact or in part, composite or distorted in character or form, without restriction as to changes or transformations in conjunction with your own or a fictitious name, or reproduction hereof in color or otherwise, made through any and all media now or hereafter known for illustration, art, movies, film, promotion, advertising, trade, or any other purpose whatsoever. We may use such photographs or videos for our service, including but not limited to, our website and other user interfaces, such as social media sites, in any manner we choose in our sole and absolute discretion.

Upon purchasing tickets, you thereby agree to all terms and conditions listed within our Reservation Policies.
