Frequently Asked Questions

Please take a moment to read our most frequently asked questions.

Do I need to check-in before boarding?

Please check-in at our ticket booth at the corner of West Bay Rd. and State St. to purchase or pick up your tickets. If you purchased your ticket online you MUST exchange your printed receipt for a boarding ticket.

We recommend checking-in 30 minutes prior to your cruise time. We will begin boarding approximately 15 minutes before scheduled cruise time.

Is there food and drink available on board?

We have a fully stocked bar on board including snacks, water, juice, soda, and alcoholic beverages.

Are there restrooms on board?

There is one unisex restroom on board.

What should I bring with me?

Here is what we recommend for varying weather conditions:

Nice/Hot Weather:

  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat

Cold/Rainy Weather:

  • Hoodie or Coat
Will I get wet?

Pirate Experience Cruise:

There are water-related activities during our family cruises. Those wanting to participate in these activities will more than likely get wet. We recommend bringing a towel (and possibly a change of clothes) for anyone looking to fully engage in the water-related activities. Towels and ponchos are available for purchase in our Gift Shop.

Those not wanting to participate may head to the water-free zone on the upper-deck of the ship.

Wobbly Pirate Cruise:

We do not have any water related activities during our happy hour cruises, so most likely not. However, there is always a risk of getting a little wet when you’re on the open sea.

What happens if it rains?

We operate rain or shine! However, in case of severe weather conditions, it is at the Captain’s discretion if we cancel the cruise or return to dock early if already underway.

In the rare event that we have to cancel or cut short a cruise, you will have the opportunity to reschedule your cruise subject to availability.

Will I get seasick?

Most likely not as the Scallywags generally cruises around 6 knots (approximately 5 mph). If you have a tendency towards motion or sea sickness, please take preventative measures beforehand.

Should I tip the crew?

Gratuities are accepted and greatly appreciated but not mandatory.

Can I book a private charter?
